Water and soap works best to clean your steel door. You can use a mild detergent for soap mixed proportionally with warm water. A sponge or soft cloth is best to wash with.

This can depend on the usage, but typically about 3-6 years.

Move the door open and closed manually. Then lift the door halfway and release. It shouldn't feel heavy. If it stays in one place, it is properly balanced. If it closes or snaps open, the door is off-balance.
